Burma Trail

The year 6 went to mistletoe bay for 2 night and 3 day's. On the second night we did the burma trail in room 5 Caitlin and Anna screamed like anything. Josh, Levi, Liam, and Ilaria didn't scream at all. Josh said that the Burma Trail this year was way more scary than last year at Marahau. The Burma Trail went properly through the bush. Everyone had a blindfold on and the teachers and parents were scaring everyone by poring water over us, tasering us tickling them and screaming at us. Every year ^ loved the Burma Trail and thought it was really fun!

Book Donations

In Room Five, we are doing book donations. Book donations is to help people to read more and variety of books. Other kids from different classes, could you please donate any unwanted books to help our class be better readers.

We are doing something where you can choose your own books from the library. We do something called P.I.C.K. Pick stands for:

P: Purpose; Why I want to read the book?
I: Interest; Does it interest me?
C: Comprehension; Do I understand it?
K: Know; Do I know most of the words?

We also do this thing that is called the five finger test. You turn to a random page and read it. If there is a word that you don't know, thats 1 finger down. if there is another three or four, then maybe that books a bit to hard for you. If there is there is one more word that you don't know, try another page of that book or another book.

Paper Chain - Guinness World Records .

At the end of this term we may be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest paper chain. The world record stands as 380m and we want to get over 380 to maybe 500 meters.

If we accomplish this mission to break the world record we will call someone to come and we will prove that the hard work we have done is true . If we do finish this record then we will be proud members of the Guinness world records 2015.
