The Nayland choir

       At Nayland Primary School the choir visited the Richmond mall to preform in front of lots of people and people form hip hop came as well.Everyone says they were great. Saphire from our class was there and she did a great job. We look forward to seeing the Choir in action because they are really good!

The New Learning Building

At Nayland Primary School the builders have been changing the middle block into a multi purpose learning center.The reason for this is so that we can have things like assemblies in the rain and so we are out of the sun.They are also making a new deck with big sliding doors.

MasterChef Week

Last week Mr Davis had a brilliant idea to make food sculpters for food WOW week. For home work we had to sketch a picture of our food sculpture . Our food had to be baced on hoobys . We had to make it out of fruit and veges it took a hole week to make and take photes whith the green screen we finshed on friday and at the end we coud take them home or smash them.

Netball

We have four Netball teams in our school. They are the Tactix , Nayland Stars , Nayland magic and the Hot shots.We play every Wednesday if  you have some spare time come and please come and support us.We have a lot of Great players in our teams.

Richmond Mall Choir

The Choir is going with Mr Lynch to Richmond mall to sing songs.A few people in our class are going.We would appreciate if people came to support.Thank you if you're trying come.Our teachers from our school are going.

Signs

For our topic This Term, It is Signs.In class already we have been learning a lot about signs.Mr Davis' got us to go outside to look around our school and look at all the signs.Our issue is : We don't have enough signage in our school.

Library

Assembly

Today rm5 are on syndicate assembly. We are going to reveal our feel inside video YAY. Ilaria and Shontay are going to share their whakatauki at assembly today.

Oral language

For oral language this term we are doing whakatauki Friday.  It is when people share a whakatauki or interesting news. At the end of the oral language they ask people for feedback. They have to verify 2 of the facts.

Brainstorm

In class this term we are thinking about signs. Signs are every where at school,on the road, in town and in the park. There is body language ,visual and audio. We also did a brainstorm we all thought of lots of ideas because we realize there is signs every where.

Cross Country

This term is 6 weeks of cross country for the whole of the seniors. On Mondays we have to run 0.5km

On Tuesdays we have to sprint  on the  red and walk on the blue.

On wednesday  we  exercise. Which is : Jumping Jacks,Push Ups,Planks,High Knees Running And More.

On Thursday we have to run 0.5km again

Wireless

In room 5 we have now got wireless so that Mr Davis can go onto the internet at school.

Spaghetti eating contest

Yesterday two people from every classroom went to a spaghetti eating contest. One of them had a rubbish bag over them with a head hole.The over had to feed them from behind. The two people from are class were Keegan and Nicolai, Keegan was the one eating.

Buildings

The new building is nearly finished. Its got new sliding doors and got a ramp on the side of one of the classrooms. The builders have put up some windows above the sliding doors  they still have to put some walls in and do some painting on the walls and put some carpet in. By Lee and Shontay

Master Chef

Welcome to term two. Its the first week back at school for term two this week is a wow week.The theme for wow week is master chef  theme. where  2 or 3 people from each class will get chosen to go to Nayland College and cook with a chef named Horst the rest of the class will stay at school.
